Just wanted to know my family and I are really sad that
you had to close down, but we certainly understand, due to the current state of
the economy! We also wanted to thank you for providing excellent service
to us over several years. We always enjoyed your cakes and pastries (of
course!). My favorite was the German Chocolate, and my wife loved the
Lemon-Raspberry (we bought the last one in Independence on Saturday!). On
a more personal note, I also really enjoyed going in on Saturday mornings for a
little daddy-daughter time with my 7-year old daughter over a breakfast pastry.
We would sit and eat, and play tic-tac-toe. You guys also did birthday
cakes for us several times for our kids, and once even made a Sacher Torte as a
special order for my mom, who was in town visiting us over her birthday.
It was as good as what we could have gotten from the Sacher Hotel in Vienna!
If the opportunity ever comes around to open back up for business, you will have
a loyal customer in the again!

Wedding. We were so pleased

'You (the Goddess's husband) made my wedding cakes (Tiramisu 10" rounds), and
five years later helped feed me through a long pregnancy.
I met a friend, Sallie, through The Pastry Goddess, and hoped that I
could give my son a unique 1st birthday cake.
My husband and I had decided on a Choc. Raspberry Torte.
I'm hoping my son won't have to suffer through second-rate cake (made by
me) when he turns one on July 29th, 2009.
Please tell me you are still making cakes and pastries to order, or
selling them through grocery stores like Tippins does with their pies.
If not, all I can do is say, 'Thank You' for all the memories I have
associated with The Goddess over the years.

She has loved your cakes and pies for years, and will especially miss your key
lime pie. There's none like it
anywhere. In addition to the key
lime pie, we will all also miss the flourless chocolate torte, the french silk
pie, and the chocolate cake with raspberry filling (which was the flavor of our
groom's cake at our wedding - yum!).
If you decide to still make pastries from home to sell, please call Padi.
She really had her heart set on a key lime pie for Christmas.
